It was a BIG week in 4th grade. The girls came back from their Middle School visit day full of excitement and equally exhausted. They had a busy morning visiting all of their 5th grade teachers and learning the ropes of middle school. In addition to Wednesday, we also had 2 of our 4 Growing Up Healthy classes this week!
During reading this week, we read a picture book titled The Butterfly that takes place in France during WWII. We completed a Venn Diagram to compare and contrast it to Number the Stars.
In math, we are just about finished with our fraction unit. This week we compared fractions with uncommon denominators, practiced finding the simplest form and equivalent fractions.
Next week we will also wrap up our civil war unit. We will finish out the year working on a research project to show off what they have learned.
